Client Comment:

“ We decided to go with the WM9 BE due to its Unequalled functionality
for the price. WM9 BE had everything we needed right out of the box,
no modification and we were up and running in four weeks.” - Peter Wright, owner, Titan Warehousing Solutions.

Titan RackingWM9 BE focuses on smaller operations with pre-built packaging.

The features of the Business Edition consist of the following:

  • An online configuration tutorial to assist new customers in properly configuring the application for start-up.
  • A restructured application menu to improve navigation.
  • Improvement of Excel export capabilities to download application data.
  • A new Import function enabling easier creation and configuration of master data.
  • Audit features to track data changes made to selected screens.
  • Easy security model based on database configuration and settings.
  • Pre-configured settings available for various set-up elements used within the Warehouse Management application. These include:
    • Allocation strategies for outbound orders.
    • Putaway strategies.
  • A redesigned Wave Planning module that improves usability and efficiency.
  • Restructured radio frequency menu screens.
  • Enhancements to cartonization logic to support multi-order shipments.
  • Improved functionality to select specific products, based on lot attributes as required by outbound orders.
  • Configurable support to disable the automatic padding of primary keys with zeros.
  • Built-in reports using BIRT, (Business Intelligence Reporting Tool).
  • Background report printing that provides the capability to configure reports to print automatically without displaying the report.
  • Simplified installation process.

Simple System Data Importing:

Import Master Data from Excel Data creation and configuration has been made easy in Infor WM9 BE using the new feature to import data from an Excel spreadsheet into the application database.

This tool is available for all the main data configuration screens,
including:
WM9 Data import

  • Owner
  • Customer
  • Carrier
  • Vendor
  • Item Master
  • Alternate Item
  • Pack Configuration
  • Zone
  • Location
  • Item/Location Assignments

This feature can be executed from within the maintenance screen using the Import button, or from a new screen that provides access for the administrator to run the import process for any information available for import.

Combining this import feature with the export feature previously described allows setup and configuration information critical to the operation to be easily created or modified. For example, to change existing data, it can first be exported to Excel, modified, and then imported back to Infor SCM WM.
